Safety Net Network

Mission

Through collaboration, innovation, and advocacy, the Iowa Collaborative Safety Net Provider Network improves access to health services, quality of patient care, and the health of underserved individuals and families in Iowa.

Core Values

We advocate for a PERSON AND FAMILY CENTERED approach as individuals and their families are at the heart of everything we do.

We believe EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE HEALTHY regardless of who they are, where they are, and their ability to pay.

We believe in ENGAGING AND EMPOWERING PEOPLE AND FAMILIES to make healthy choices and care decisions.

We are committed to COLLABORATION between private and public health organizations and other stakeholders across the continuum of care, within communities, regionally, and statewide.

We endorse STEWARDSHIP AND DATA DRIVEN DECISION MAKING as a means to improve access, value, quality and patient outcomes, and make health system improvements.

Network Goals

ACCESS: Increase the underserved population’s access to health services.

ENGAGEMENT (formerly Communications): Serve as a resource for credible, accurate information on healthcare related needs and services for vulnerable populations in Iowa.

HEALTH SYSTEM INTEGRATION: Increase health system integration, care coordination, and collaboration across the continuum of care with a focus on safety net services.
