FM Physician with ED and IP coverage – Storm Lake, IA

Interested in a balance of ED, inpatient and outpatient work? The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting for a family medicine physician to work in a community health center in Storm Lake, Iowa and provide ED coverage and inpatient rounding at the nearby hospital.

Position Details:

• This position will primarily be seeing patients in the outpatient community health center, and on average 8 hours per week at the Emergency Department (varies but approx. 1 weekend every 6 weeks) and inpatient rounding at the local hospital (daily as required for clinic’s admitted patients).
• FTE can be flexible, preferably 3-4 days each week at the outpatient community health center.
• Clinic Hours: M-W & F: 8AM – 5PM; Thursday 8AM – 6PM; Saturday 8AM – 12PM
• Patients: avg 16-18/seen per day
• Number of Exam Rooms: 3
• Current Staff: 2 physicians, 2 Nurse Practitioners; 2 other clinical staff/nursing
• Call: call pool requires one weekend out of 6. In patient rounding of clinic patients daily as required.
